A Bit Of Everything Haul

Hello Lovelies (:

Hope you are all ok (: I have been picking up bits and pieces here and there so thought I'd put them together and tell you what I bought. I like reading other people's haul posts, have a nosey at what they have bought. I remember when I lived at home I'd come home from shopping and show my mum everything I bought, it doesn't have the same effect with the boyfriend unless it's underwear! ha

1. VO5 Plump Me Up Dry Shampoo - I bought this after seeing an advert for it and wanted to try it after my previous dry shampoo disaster, you can read about it here. Looking forward to giving it a go!

2. Ren Clarifying Clay Cleanser - I had ordered my previous cleanser from the states and didn't want to do this again, I like the fact that I can just nip into town and pick this up when I run out. I have heard good reviews about Ren skincare and this is suited to my skin type; combination and acne prone! Again I'm looking forward to giving this a go, who wouldn't be at the hope of banishing blemishes?!

3. Redken Extreme Shampoo & Conditioner - I suddenly thought why do I spend so much on my clothes, make up and skincare but hardly anything on hair products. Don't get me wrong Herbal Essences always leaves my hair clean and shiny however I am trying to grow it out so thought I should spend a little more on shampoo & conditioner to try and keep it healthy and strong. I ordered these from Feelunique.com along with another hair care product which I will review in a few weeks.

4. Sure Maximum Protection Deodorant - I use this all the time and was running out so picked some up. This smells great and definitely does the job, especially now that the weather is picking up! However it frustrates me so much because I always get white deodorant marks on my top!

5. Soap & Glory Heel Genius - Another product I was running out of, this stuff is amazing. Always get my boyfriend to massage it into my feet and when I wake up in the morning my feet are all soft!

6. Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub & Sugar Crush Body Scrub - Took advantage of Soap & Glory being on 3 for 2 at Boots, I like using the breakfast scrub it smells so delicious and thought I would also give the sugar scrub a go when the breakfast one runs out.

7. Travel Size Products - Picked these up for the boyfriend mainly for when we go away in a couple of weeks, unlike me he's not fussy about which products he uses really.

8. Jungle Formula Insect Repellent - This is vital for my holiday, nothing worse than being bitten and feeling the need to scratch all the time. Having said that I should have used this already as I have two bites.

9. Gillette Shaving Foam - For the boyfriend of course! I prefer something more girly when shaving my legs!

10. Tops - While in H & M I picked up some basic vest tops as mine are a bit old now. I picked up one in beige, black, two in white and a a nice purple colour which has a racer back to it.

Have you bought anything lately? Do you use any of these products, do you like them?

OOTD - Pastel Pinks

Hello Lovelies (:

I'm very excited this morning as firstly, the sun is out this is rare in England! Also I'm off out with my friend to the cinema to see 'Magic Mike', I've heard that it is very good! Well seeing naked men is sure to put a smile on some of our faces! (: We are also going to grab a spot of lunch an possibly do some shopping! It should be a good day, just wish my bank balance was higher so I could shop 'til I drop! I'll have to wait until payday to do that!

Jeans - River Island (old) // White top - H &M (again old) // Blazer - Primark // Scarf - River Island // Sandals - River Island (old) // Watch - Michael Korrs // Bracelet - Primark  //

I haven't worn these jeans in a while, I love the colour of them however the fit isn't great, but I thought the colour went well with the pink blazer. I find a blazer is a great way to tie an outfit together and it is great as it is not as thick as a coat but keeps you warmer than a cardigan! I bought the scarf quite recently and have worn it loads! I paired this outfit with some cute girly sandals from River Island which I bought last year, in white too, I think River Island have brought them out again this year. I was bought my gorgeous watch for my 21st birthday back in february, I love it, I have it in rose gold.

What are you upto today? Let me know (:

My River Island Wish List

River Island Wish List

Hello Lovelies (:

I decided to do a Wish List post as I have been having a huge sort out of my wardrobe today, I realised I'd kept things for nearly 5 years!! Like t-shirts! I then was looking through the River Island App on my phone and found all these things I am lusting after, however am not going to buy anything until I come back from holiday. (Only 2 weeks to go! (: )

I have to say a big thank you to Aveen who pointed me in the direct of the website Polyvore.com, it is fantastic!! (:

Have you got a Wish List? What is on yours??

White Hair - My Dry Shampoo Review

Hello Lovelies

[caption id="attachment_68" align="alignright" width="300"] Taken with Instagram[/caption]

It has been a few days since I have written a post, sorry I lacked inspiration! I am back on it now though and have a few ideas so keep a look out! (:

I was in the queue at my local Superdrug store when this Batise Dry Shampoo caught my eye, it was on offer by the tills. I know, I know I got suckered into their plan but when I saw it I was like 'Oh I need some more dry shampoo!' so picked this one up which claims to 'Banish oil & boost body', great I thought as my hair is so thick and heavy it can look quite flat (yet frizzy! :s). It also says that it doesn't just add volume it adds XXL Volume, even better!!

I gave this dry shampoo a go when I was off to the gym and my hair needed a quick pick me up. I sectioned off my hair, giving myself a sexy middle parting, I then sprayed some of this along my hair line. I continued this technique either side of the parting until I got to my ears (: I then gave my hair a good ruffle to work the product in. I have to say that I was disappointed as this product is very white and even after working it in I was left with white patches! Not attractive! This product also left my hair feeling dry and itchy! As for volume I did not see much improvement, my hair remained quite flat!

Maybe this product is just not suited to my hair type? What do you think of this product? or do you use a different dry shampoo that you think I should try out, let me know (:

7 Things for 7 Days Update

Hello Lovelies (:

I hope you are all well, I apologise for the lateness of this post last week seemed to get quite busy! So last week I joined in with Louise's (Sprinkle of Glitter) interactive blog post and wrote about 7 things I wanted to do in 7 days so here is how I got on;

1. Start my blog - My first goal is to start my blog, i've been thinking about starting a blog for a while now but was never sure and was always too busy with uni work. I tweeted TiffanyD and Ellie (Maydoll) who both encouraged me to start one, so thank you both very much! (: - I have managed to do this one in the alotted 7 days (: I have written a few posts in the 7 days since I started my blog, and have enjoyed it. I am hoping to continue this one for longer than 7 days! hehe

2. Follow the Tone It Up plan - I recently purchased the Tone It Up plan which is not a quick fix diet its about changing your everyday diet in order to help you lead a healty lifestyle. I am also wanting to follow the plan to get ready for my summer holiday! - I felt I was good at sticking to this plan however at the same time I found it hard as, I was not always up in time to have breakfast and did not always feel up to eating first thing in the morning! There were also a few sweet treats here and there, maybe a bit of chocolate! hehe I am going to continue to follow the tips given in the plan such as portion sizes and trying to only eat wholewheat carbs, it is hard when I fancy chips but it is good for my skin and overall health!

3. Home Manicure - My nails grow so quickly and they are long overdue a bit of tlc! I'm not sure what colour to paint them, I've currently got on Essie's 'Cute as a button'. Any suggestions are greatly welcomed (: - My nails were getting long and needed a new coat of nail varnish! So after cutting and filing them I gave them a coat of O.P.I Nail Envy to keep them strong before painting them in Nails Inc 'Jermyn Street'. I like to paint my ring fingers in a different colour, I painted these 2 fingers in Barry M '308 Berry'. Im now due for another colour change! I'm thinking black but is it too dark for summer? Although it doesn't feel like summer either!

4. Wardrobe Sort Out - I have got LOADS of clothes but still say 'I've got nothing to wear' especially when my friends suggest a night out, so I need to sort out the clothes that I don't wear in order to make room for new ones! With the clothes I no longer wear I am going to donate them to the charity I volunteer at so that someone else can benefit from them. - I have to admit I failed on this one, I had hoped to do this after I had done the ironing as it made sense to sort things out as I went along but I also failed doing my ironing! So they have now been added to my mental 'To do' list for this week! YAY!

5. Go to the Gym Everyday - As well as following the Tone It Up plan I want to find the motivation to go to the gym everyday in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Going to the gym isn't just about physically looking good, going to the gym helps to relieve stress. I'm usually tired before I go the gym but once I've been I'm full of beans! - I half completed this one as I went to the gym 4 times out of the 7 days, even went on saturday and sunday!! I am going to try and go the gym at least 4 times a week if not more as once there I do actually enjoy it. By going to the gym I also include classes as Zumba and Abs Blast, I find classes to be much more exciting as the time doesn't seem to drag and I push myself further as the routines are different every time unlike my gym routine!

6. Walk the Doggie for 30mins After Dinner - Walking our little dog is necessary of course but doing it after dinner I find helps to stop me craving the sweet things for pudding as well as giving me time to relax with my boyfriend as he works so hard it is nice to spend the time together. (Soppy I know!) - I enjoyed this one very much (: I managed to keep this one for 6 days out of the 7. On the 7th day we were travelling back to see our family so were in the car for dinner so were'nt able to walk her! We did walk her when we got to our destination just not for 30mins as we were too tired!

7. Do the Above - This might seem like a cop out but I need motivation to do the above! hehe - Some of this was completed! hehe

A Summery Pick Me Up

Hello Lovelies (:

I just wanted to hop on real quick and brighten up the day with a quick uplifting scent!

I got bought this lovely big bottle of perfume by my lovely boyfriend for my birthday back in February, it’s the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. It has quickly become my favourite perfume. When I spray it, it smells so delicious and makes me feel all summery. It is the perfect pick me up on days like this - it is July and it is miserable and supposed to rain all week! ugh! I wish you guys could smell it, it is a wonder with modern technology that you can't! hehe I would love to know what your favourite summery scents are so let me know in the comments.

Thank you for reading  (:

My Weekly At Home Facial

Hello Lovelies

I wanted to share my weekly at home facial as I thought it may help others. I also like reading about peoples skincare routines and the products they use so hopefully you may find this interesting too.

Unfortunately I do not have perfect skin, in fact it is acne prone and oily which means that I constantly have to reapply my makeup throughout the day *yawns*. However I do find that when I have done this facial my skin appears much calmer, smoother and for a few minutes I forget about my spots! Just a quick boring disclaimer I am by no means a skincare expert, and the products mentioned work for me but may not necessarily work for you.

I started doing this facial after watching a YouTube video by Annie Jaffrey you can watch the video here, which I adapted to my skin and the products I am using.

Here are the products I use;

Left to right *Caudalie Beauty Elixir* *Nutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser*

*Origins Clear Improvement Mask* *Origins Super Spot Remover*

*Origins Modern Friction* and a sample of *Origins Overnight Drink Up Mask*

To a clean, dry face I apply the Clear Pore Cleanser and give it a good massage in before removing it using a hot flannel. Next I use Modern Friction to exfoliate my face before washing it off. Thirdly I apply the charcoal mask just to my T-zone and chin as this is where I am oily and where I get my spots! When this is dry I use a face sponge from Boots to remove it, pat my face dry then spritz Beauty Elixir onto a cotton pad and apply to any areas that are spotty as a toner. I use a cotton bud to apply the Super Spot Remover directly to spots strangely enough! (:

I have only just started using the Overnight Drink Up Mask and thought it was a good idea to rehydrate my skin after drying it out from exfoliation and masks!

As I said before I am not an expert and when I went to see the doctor about my skin, although its not as bad as some other peoples it does get me down, they just told me to try different products to see what works. (Great advice I thought...!) So after LOTS of trial and error I seem to have found a skincare routine that appears to be working! (Crosses fingers in hope that I haven't jinxed it!)

I also found lots of great advice on the Beauty Mouth blog written by Caroline Hirons, it is definitely worth checking out. Caroline often runs a clinic where you can ask her advice. Advice I've taken from there is to take fish oils, wash my cleanser off with a hot flannel,  and use Liquid Gold. (:

I hope this is helpful and I would love to know what products you use in your skincare routine! (:
