My Kitchen Wishlist

Hello Lovelies (:

This is a bit more of a lifestyle post which involves things I'm lusting after in my very own kitchen. I currently live with  my boyfriend in a rented house so I do have a kitchen but it isn't big enough for me and it doesn't feel like my own. I have big dreams about designing my own kitchen, and the rest of the rooms when we buy a house. The kitchen is especially important for me as I do believe the kitchen is the heart of the home, cooking runs in my family; my great grandmother used to do all of her own cooking, my grandad was a fantastic chef (as I am told) who had his own restaurant in London, my mummybear enjoys cooking, my sister is a chef and I love to cook fresh food and love watching people enjoy it! I also love to bake but don't make as much effort to find the time to actually bake at the moment. So here are the things on my wishlist;

1. Le Creuset pan set - My grandad had a set of these which my mummybear now uses, so although they are expensive they are defintely worth the money! Wouldn't need to buy any pots or pans ever again, although they are heavy as they are all made out of iron.

2. Kitchenaid Mixer - I was very luck to get one of these a few years back in this colour from my wonderful boyfriend, however we had to return it as we had no room to store it in our kitchen ): I haven't given up hope that he may buy me one again in the future that I can keep!

3. Professional Knives - My lovely mummybear bought me a set of knives when I moved out of home which I still have but am lusting after some professional ones such as Sabatier, after watching Gordon Ramsey effortlessly cut though a chicken carcass with his knives!

4. Built in Oven - I have this idea in my head of having two built in ovens with seperate gas hob on the work surface. This seems modern and stylish but also a great way to keep the kitchen clean as nothing can fall down the side of the cooker! (:

5. Amercian Style Fridge - I love the idea of a big american style fridge freezer which can fit enough food in so that I don't run out of space when cooking for lots of people.

6. Slow Cooker - This is a great idea for the autumn and winter months as I can put all the ingredients into the pot put it on to cook, pop off to uni for the day and when I come home on a cold evening my dinner will be ready and waiting nice and hot for me. Plus I love dishes were the meat is soft and tender.

7. Pestle and Mortar -Cooking with spices tastes so delicious and with one of these I can make great pastes to marinate the meat in for a few hours.

I cannot wait to have my own house and make it a proper home, not that I'm wishing my life away or wanting to settle down too quickly. I just get this urge to have somewhere that is all mine (and the boyfriend's) that we have put our own stamp on making it nice, snug, cosy and homely!

The Quest For Caterpillars

Hello Lovelies (:

Hope you are all ok, feel like I have not posted in ages due to being busy seeing family and then I lost my blogging mojo! However I think it may have been found and returned!

Recently I have been on the quest for caterpillars aka eyebrows, big bushy eyebrows are this seasons trend after all! For years I used to get my eyebrows waxed really thin as I had blonde hair and did not think that my thick dark brown brows went well. So instead of changing my hair colour, which would have been far easier, I opted for the harder option and changed my eyebrows! Now it is taking me what seems like a lifetime to grow them back! When I heard about a product that would help get back my bushy caterpillars I got all excited and read all of the reviews on the website. After reading them I decided that I would have to try it for myself to see if it would work, plus at this point I was so desperate as I had tried other tips such as putting Vaseline on them before bed this did not seem to make much of a difference. So I toddled down to a Boots store and bought myself the product; RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing serum.

What they say about the product;

'RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum is a CLINICALLY PROVEN formula with an exclusive Hexatein 2 Complex, a unique blend of fortifying proteins, stimulating peptides and nourishing ingredients designed to help condition, restore and repair the appearance of eyebrows as quickly as in 60 days.'

'Directions: Apply RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum with the easy to use mini brush twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.'

'Paraben & Fragrance Free. Ophthalmologist & Dermatologist Tested. Safe for Contact Lens Wearers.'

I have been applying this for about 30 days now so thought I would do this review half way through and then a quick one after the 60 days. I have only been applying this in the evenings once I have cleaned my face before getting into bed as due to my lack of eyebrows I use powder to enhance the little that is there during the day and if I were to apply this in the morning I did not think I would be able to fill them in as to me the product sets the brows a bit. I did not want to use this after filling in my brows as it would make the product quite dirty!

So like I said I have been using this product in the evenings for around 30 days (give or take a few evenings). I personally feel like my brows have grown longer and I have seen a small increase in the amount of regrowth I have in the sparse places. I'm not sure if this is just me willing for the product to work though as my boyfriend thinks that it has not made a difference. Below I have included some pictures of my brows before using the RapidBrow Serum and then some recent ones after about 30 days use of the serum.

This is the only picture I had of my eyebrows before using the RapidBrow Serum, it is not the best picture as my eyebrows are filled in so you can't fully see how/if they have grown.

This picture was taken just the other day, I feel that although my eyebrows have not become thicker just yet you can see that the regrowth has increased.

I will do another quick review after the full 60 days, what do you think so far am I just being optimistic or have they improved?

Suits You Hair

Hello Lovelies (:

As mentioned in my previous post I went to London town to get my hair cut! Last year I got my hair cut into a bob..bob had a bob haha! Anyway I liked it at the time, I thought it suited me, so when it started to grow out I got it cut back in but began to realise after always having mid-length to long hair what a fuss it was. I had to wash it, dry it and style it nearly every day which was something I was not used to as with longer hair I could wash my hair every two/three days. I found it quite hard to style my hair in anything other than a bob as it was too short and I missed being able to just scrape all my hair up in to a pony or messy bun! So I decided to grow it out, it has taken me several months and for the past few months I have been hating my hair as it lacked volume when straightened and felt that I looked awful as the grown out shape did not suit my face at all! Instead of going to my usual hairdresser, who is absolutely lovely, I decided I wanted to sit in the chair in front of the mirror and the hairdresser say 'I think if we did this and this it will look fantastic and really suit you'.

(I've had several hair styles in the past, front fringes, side fringes, mid-length hair, long hair even a hair style that made me look like I had extensions!) I just did not know what I wanted this time, I just knew I wanted something that suited my face shape which I could style myself at home whilst continuing to grow it out. So after researching on the internet and coming across one of Tanya Burr's YouTube videos I decided to get my hair cut by Mark at Electric Hairdressing in London. So I rang up and booked myself in. On the day I got a bit nervous as part of me worried that I wouldn't like it, but this passed quickly as I stepped into the salon as the staff were all lovely, welcoming and friendly! My family and friends all thought I was mad going all the way to London just to have my hair cut but I love my new hair style, so thank you Mark! (: What do you all think to the new hair?

These pictures of my grown out hair, I feel it made my face look really long, I styled it curly in the hope that it would soften my face and look a bit better than when I straightened it.

Fresh out of the salon, I've got a full/side fringe, with a bit more shape around my face and a few long layers.

From the back..

My hair looks quite long here!

Here are some pictures I took the next day after I had slept on it and straightened it. It has taken me a few days to get used to having a fringe again, but I like it (:

(Please excuse the messy hotel bed in the background)

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading

My Weekend In Pictures

Hello Lovelies (:

I don't usually have interesting weekends hence why I have not done this post before. However this weekend was different as the Boyfriend and I went to London! I have been to London a few times before but this time I went for a specific reason. So here are a few photos from my weekend, I kept forgetting to take photos of things, especially food, I just tucked right in!

The boyfriend and I went out for Steak on Friday night, it came out half cooked then you finished it off on this hot stone!Yummy!

After steak we went on to the Haagen-Dazs restaurant, I created my own pudding; cookie, vanilla + baileys ice crem with milk chocolate sauce! It was delicious!

In Leicester Square

Breakfast in Selfridges, nice cup of Twinnings (:

The new vaseline everyone is talking about (in Selfridges)

We went to China Town for lunch

Bought some gorgeous chocolates in Harrods, went back for more on Sunday before we left!

Saturdays outfit of the night (there is a reason my head is cut off!)

Sunday morning we had breakfast in a diner in Camden

Ordered a cheeky Dominos when we got home Sunday - We had no food in the house you see (:

The reason we went to London, my head is cut off from the photo above and why I am not in any of the pictures is because I had my hair cut and wanted to do a separate quick post about it so you can see before and after pics! We had a lovely time in London as usual, I stupidly forgot to go to the Victoria Secret shop so am kicking myself now. Next time we go I think we are going to try and eat at that restaurant where you eat in the dark as it sounds interesting, couldn't go this time though as you have to book a few weeks in advance apparently. Where do you like to go in London, anything you think I should have done whilst I was there?

My Miss Guided Wishlist

Hello Lovelies (:

I hope you have had a lovely weekend, I spent the evening last night browsing whilst watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians (guilty pleasure) so I thought I would share with you what I am lusting after and how I would wear it!

My Miss Guided Wishlist

My Miss Guided Wishlist created on

I couldn't find some of the exact clothes I wanted using Polyvore, not sure if this was down to Miss Guided or not. So the first outfit I would wear as it is with a pair of black wedged ankle boots, a great autum outfit I think! Second outfit, again, I would wear it exactly as it is, wearing a pink skirt like that would be adventurous for me! The third outfit I love however, I had picked out a white peplum vest top and paired it with plain leather style leggings. I think a short chunky necklack would finish this outfit off quite nicely.

What is on your wishlist? Would you style these items differently?
